What is Academic Coaching?
Academic Coaching is more than tuition. It is coaching for PERFORMANCE in your study and life. It is fusing mindset and skillset into the specific academic subject matter like Math or Science etc. We want our students to see the jump in their results in the shortest possible time as we know that once a student sees his/her first A1, they will not want anything less. This is what we called sustained motivation. Academic Coaching is full of energy, fun and laughter, as we believe that peak performance happens when one’s energy is the greatest, that is, when one is HAPPY!
With this in mind, we create a HAPPY and FUN learning environment with new experiences for the child so that he/she can learn through the different experiences (e.g. Reactivity series challenge for Chemistry)! It is more than just another Math or Science lesson. In fact, they are coming to a Club, discussing Math or Science, A Math or Physics and learning in a high energy and dynamic environment. It’s about bringing the smile back into learning!
We are AdvoCoaches.
AdvoCoaches are life-skills trainers and as such, we emphasize on the mindset of the students and uses different techniques like memory skills, VAK and mindset to coach the students on the subject matter as we understand that different folks need different approaches.
Tiger Woods is already one of the best, and yet he understands the value that comes from having someone work directly with him, someone to point out things he can’t see, someone to keep encouraging and challenging him to achieve his greatest potential. That’s who we are for your child. Coaching is like having a personal trainer in your child’s life!
We Coach for results.
Advocators’ objective is clear – it is about academic performance. We have our own technology and system to drill the mindset and build skill set in the specific subjects. Our OPCM (One Page Concept Map) is a proven method and student sees results with the use of the technology. Instead of just solving questions that students have difficulties in answering, we lead them through our thought and analytical process with OPCM. Your child will be able to solve a large variety of questions in any subject, once successfully mapping our thought process.
To cultivate consistency and discipline, we have the A.S.S (Advo Success System) to track performance and reinforce mindset in students. We believe that success begets further success and once the child sees his/her first A1, he/she will not want to settle for less.
Coaching Philosophy
Every child has equal potential. We seek to unleash it with them.
Every child has equal potential to succeed and to us, every child has the potential to get the A1 in their studies, with the right guidance and influence. We seek to unleash this potential with our students, that is, we hold the hand of each and every of our student and walk the journey of achieving A1 with them.
The AdvoCoaches are real practitioners of what they preach. For instance, when we encourage students to plan for their A1s in Examinations, we plan for our success in our lives as well using the exact skills that were imparted to the students!
Every child has dreams. We seek to live it with them.
A lot of people talk about motivating a child to study. In fact, we do not motivate the students. We influence them. At Advo, we only select the best to be trained as AdvoCoaches under the Advo System. They are unique individuals that are avid pursuers of their dreams. The same passion that drives the AdvoCoaches forward is the fuel that empowers the AdvoCoaches to influence the students to pursue their A1 dreams too. We are able to engage and influence the students as we are embarked on the same journey to pursue our dreams. It is with this energy and influence that we want to make our student’s 1st dream come true – and that is to get his/her A1.
Every child loves an A/A1. We seek to make it happen with them.
When that happens, we know his/her life is changed. It’s not about the A1. It’s about giving the child an experience of getting that A1; and this experience is going to be with him/her for the rest of their lives in their future endeavors. This success experience is one that money cannot buy, nor can it be taken away from our children.
